Course Description
IB Math SL at BSGE is a two year course normally taken by juniors and then seniors. It is intended for students pursuing math/science/engineering or business/quantitative analysis for their college studies. The emphasis will be on the application of math in the real world where practicable, with an eye toward the IB Internal and External Assessments.

This site is offered as a community development vehicle and information source to enhance the course experience. A schedule of topics, class presentations, handouts, tests, projects and homework assignments for Math SL can be found via links on the Senior Syllabus page and Junior Syllabi page. For the Algebra 2 - Trig Regents links of interest can be found on the Algebra 2 - Trig Regents page.

Textbook
Our textbook is provided by Haese and Harris Publications. Unlike so many math texts that were written by math professors for math teachers, this was selected since it is believed it was written by math teachers for math students. It has an interactive CDrom with numerous applications The book itself is in PDF format with hyperlinks. The reference (we currently use the first edition):
